Mike Kalambay – Moïse Mbiye concerts at the Stade des Martyrs: Sapper Mzee Kindingu under arrest. A complaint from Maajabu Gospel?

In the midst of preparations for two major gospel concerts at the Stade des Martyrs, one by Pastor Moise Mbiye scheduled for 19 May 2024 and the other by Pastor Mike Kalambay for 27 July, a hitherto avoided controversy seems to be surfacing.

Sapper Mzee Kindingu, one of the marketers working to promote the 19 May concert, is reportedly under arrest after publicly slamming the Christian label Maajabu Gospel, producer of the artist Mike Kalambay.

During a recent media appearance, Mzee Kindingu made comments that were highly unpopular with the label, which is owned by the Bondo family.

MAAJABU has a habit of poisoning people. They also tried to do the same to Moïse Mbiye. Maajabu’s people had come to the stadium to put fetishes there,” he declared.

As a reminder, the staff of Maajabu Gospel were recently at the Stade des Martyrs to spend a few moments in prayer, in the run-up to the MK concert scheduled for four months from now.

Since the afternoon of Friday, corroborating sources have confirmed the arrest of sapper Mzee Kindingu at the Kalamu Public Prosecutor’s Office following a complaint from the Maajabu Gospel label.

Although at this stage the complainant has not been officially identified, Kindungu’s family and friends are making numerous media appearances to ask Maajabu Gospel to release him.

When contacted by Brothermyephre.com, the artist’s manager Moïse Mbiye said that it was a pleasure to work with Mzee Kindingu to promote the concert planned for the Stade des Martyrs.

Working with Mzee Kindingu for the stadium? I’d love to. He’s good at making noise, but his conflicts and statements are his own. Please keep us out of his quarrels. Courage, Mzee”, he stressed.

Sapper Mzee Kindingu is known for his virulent clashes, which usually spread quickly on the web.

In particular, it was very active in mobilising support for the 9th Francophonie Games held in Kinshasa last July.

Let’s hope that these two Gospel concerts, eagerly awaited by music lovers in the DRC and around the world, don’t create new dividing walls in the Christian community, but build bridges for our different communities.
