Since the appointment of Mrs. Judith Suminwa Tuluka to the post of Prime Minister on Monday, April 1, several remarks have been made about her person.

If some praise his charismatic smile, others express their great curiosity about the real origins of this rare pearl chosen by the Head of State, Félix Tshisekedi to lead the very first government of his second five-year mandate.

Brothermyephre.com hopes to satisfy your curiosity, by recalling the various public functions exercised by Michel Suminwa Onkandiangazi, Congolese politician who died in April 1995, biological father of Mrs. Judith Suminwa Tuluka.

Originally from Temo village, Kimpense sector, Songololo territory, Michel Suminwa came from the Ndibu tribe.

Ambassador of the DRC (Zaire at the time) to Chad in 1972, Michel Suminwa then held the position of minister plenipotentiary, representative of his country to the Common Market (the current European Union) before occupying the position of 1st advisor at the embassy of the DRC (Zaire at the time) in Belgium.

Indeed, history indicates that this statesman was notably one of those who were responsible for following the file for the construction of the Inga hydroelectric dam.

Recalled to Kinshasa by the late President Mobutu in 1985, he was appointed chairman of the board of directors of the Kwilu-Ngongo sugar factory.

His friendship with the great trader Tuluka, owner of the notable food store “Chez Yaya” eventually brought their children together, giving rise to the marriage of Roger Tuluka and Judith Suminwa Tuluka.

His wife Éliane (still alive) also comes from Kongo Central.
