Appointment of Judith Suminwa: First Lady Denise Nyakeru speaks out
First Lady Denise Nyakeru Tshisekedi reacted to the appointment of Madame Judith Suminwa Tuluka as Prime Minister of the Democratic Republic of Congo in a post on her X (formerly Twitter) account on Monday evening.
“I extend my warmest congratulations to Mrs Suminwa Judith on her appointment as Prime Minister. This choice by the President of the Republic, a champion of positive masculinity, is a strong message in favor of women’s leadership and gender equality, which constitute one of the important pillars of the development of our beloved homeland.” she wrote.
And to emphasize:
“I am convinced that his dynamism and rich professional experience, the fruit of an exceptional career, will contribute to the influence of our country and the impetus of government action. I wish him every success in the accomplishment of this high mission.”
Mrs. Judith Suminwa is the first in the country’s history to assume this high office.
