General Christian Tshiwewe: “We’ll fight to the last drop of our blood”.

The Chief of General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Democratic Republic of Congo, Army General Christian Tshiwewe, held a parade for Congolese army officers in Kinshasa on Monday April 15.

During his speech, General Tshiwewe warned military personnel tempted to join the rebellion of the serious consequences that would follow.

“I say  to the officers: you are married, you have your wife and children. Even the person who bribes you knows that you are a traitor,” he declared.

And to the rebels: “You don’t scare us. We’ll fight to the last drop of blood”

.

This parade comes in a particular context, marked by a security crisis in the east of the DRC, created in particular by the M23 terrorists, supported by Rwanda.
