DRC: Congo-Brazza offers Rwanda a plot of land larger than the Rwandan capital Kigali. Here are the agreements

Rwanda and Congo-Brazza signed agreements in 2022, with the first palpable effects beginning to be felt in 2024.

Rwandan entrepreneurs recently visited Congo-Brazza to tour the 980 square kilometers of land donated by the Congolese government to Rwanda.

This vast expanse of land represents 134% of the total surface area of the city of Kigali, capital of Rwanda.

By acquiring larger plots of land than its capital in Congo-Brazza, Rwanda aims to boost the agricultural development of its private entrepreneurs.

It should be remembered that in Congo-Kinshasa, this deal has been the subject of much negative public comment.

For many observers, this may be a malicious maneuver on the part of Paul Kagame’s regime, whose expansionist ambitions towards the DRC can no longer be refuted.
