Death of Tshisekedi’s close guard: Kabila’s PPRD singled out by Eliezer Ntambwe?
The death of José Mbemba, close guard of Félix Tshisekedi, president of the Democratic Republic of Congo, is widely commented on in Congolese opinion. During a recent media outing, national deputy Eliezer Ntambwe seemed to make a correlation between the death of the late José Mbemba and that of his father, in September 2016 when the headquarters of the UDPS (current presidential party) was set on fire.
“I bow to the memory of this young fighter that I know. A bad thing never comes alone. This man, for those who don’t know him, his father was killed by the past regime, the regime of the PPRD people. He was among those who died following the arson attack on the UDPS office. He was security there. When the Head of State (Félix Tshisekedi Editor’s note) came to power, he and his big brother joined the security service,” declared the honorable Ntambwe Eliezer.
And to continue:
“That’s why, I wonder, is it the PPRD that continues to operate, like they killed his father? I don’t know. But until then, justice is carrying out investigations.”
These comments by national deputy Eliezer Ntambwe provoke several reactions on social networks. If some comments criticize the words of the elected representative of Kinshasa-Lukunga, others on the other hand point out that the tragic death of José Mbemba and the discovery of his lifeless body in a street in Kinshasa, recall the tragic disappearance of the honorable Chérubin Okende last July.
Congolese justice is called upon to rule the right way.
