Culture : Lucie Kunda of the group Kunda sisters is no more (official)
The great family of Congolese Gospel music is in mourning this Monday, April 8, following the death of musician Lucie Kunda, one of the leading members of the group Kunda Sisters.
Famous for over two decades, this artist has served God through the art of song alongside her two biological sisters, Péguy and Elie Kunda.
The Kunda sisters’ hits still resonate today in Congolese religious worship.
Several sources report that she passed away in Kinshasa, as a result of organ failure.
Faced with this sad news, Christian artist-musicians of all stripes expressed their sorrow through messages posted on social networks.
May the Lord give peace to the family of our late sister, mother and servant of God Lucie( kunda sisters).she cradled the childhood of plusieurs🙏🏾. To our God all the glory!

I still remember our collaboration on the women’s heart project. Since then, we’ve remained very close. May the Lord strengthen the whole family

I am so sad. Lucie NKUNDA has left us. We will miss a beautiful voice. A sister devoted to God’s work. A very self-effacing person despite all her qualities. A true Christian singer has left us. My condolences to all her family and the Congo Body of Christ Church.
Aimé Nkanu
There’s no doubt that the DRC’s Christian music scene has lost an icon and one of its finest female voices.
At this stage, the official funeral program has not yet been announced.
We will come back to this in our next publications.
