During a joint press conference with South Sudanese President Salva KIIR MAYARDIT this Monday in Kinshasa, President Félix Tshisekedi declared that the real cause of the Rwandan-Congolese conflict is the regime that currently has power in Rwanda .

Let’s take the case of the crisis with Rwanda. It has nothing to do with the people. The people of Rwanda are not coming to invade the Democratic Republic of Congo. It is a regime led by an individual who has become fond of this type of crime and it is this regime which attacks, which attacks the Democratic Republic of Congo. The people of two countries have no problem, one or the other. » declared President Tshisekedi.

With measured confidence, President Félix Tshisekedi predicted the end of Paul Kagame’s regime in Rwanda.

“It’s a diet problem and diet as you know, it’s not forever. One day, all this will end in one way or another and we will return, I believe, to the happiness of living together as neighboring countries. That’s my wish. For the moment, there is a disruptor (Paul Kagame Editor’s note), a hinderer, but he is not eternal. Its turn will come one day to stop playing like that with people’s lives,” underlined the Congolese Head of State.

Note that President SALVA KIIR MAYARDIT is the current President of the Community of East African States Summit. He stayed in Kinshasa for a consultative meeting with President Tshisekedi.
