Paul Kagame: “Tshisekedi is capable of everything, except measuring the consequences of what he says”
During an interview he gave this Monday to Jeune Afrique, Rwandan President Paul Kagame strongly criticized his Congolese counterpart Félix Tshisekedi.
“Félix Tshisekedi succeeded in manipulating leaders and countries. He is wrong. We know he is wrong,” he declared.
And to add:
“Tshisekedi is capable of everything, except measuring the consequences of what he says”
These remarks by President Kagame come a few days after the diplomatic triumph of the DRC with the African Union authorities, relating to the deployment of SADC troops in the East of the DRC.
Despite the fact that the Rwandan Minister of Foreign Affairs, Vincent Biruta, had increased correspondence with the AU and the UN to prevent the support of this continental organization for the SADC force deployed in the East of the DRC, the DRC managed to make its voice heard and obtain the support of the AU Security and Peace Council.
After this diplomatic defeat, the Kigali regime seems helpless.
President Kagame’s media outing seems like an attempt to restart a match after the referee’s last whistle.
Several observers agree that the coming days will be very hard for the enemies of peace in the Great Lakes region.
